We want to take Guattari\u2019s call as a starting point to explore the connectivity and interdependence of everything that exists.<\/p>\n<p>At a time of a global pandemic, many of these\u00a0<ins datetime=\"2020-07-27T18:27\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CRu_hG3X3bI\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CRu_hG3X3bI\">interconnections<\/a><\/ins>\u00a0but also contradictions are coming into sharp relief. As nation states scramble to further <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tni.org\/files\/publication-downloads\/tni-covid-19-and-border-politics-brief.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.tni.org\/files\/publication-downloads\/tni-covid-19-and-border-politics-brief.pdf\">solidify<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compas.ox.ac.uk\/2020\/de-confine-borders-towards-a-politics-of-freedom-of-movement-in-the-time-of-the-pandemic-blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.compas.ox.ac.uk\/2020\/de-confine-borders-towards-a-politics-of-freedom-of-movement-in-the-time-of-the-pandemic-blog\">borders<\/a>, the virus moves defiantly across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2020\/01\/timeline-china-coronavirus-spread-200126061554884.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2020\/01\/timeline-china-coronavirus-spread-200126061554884.html\">geographies<\/a> and even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cam.ac.uk\/stories\/covid-19-interspecies-frontier-history-with-pangolins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.cam.ac.uk\/stories\/covid-19-interspecies-frontier-history-with-pangolins\">species<\/a>. According to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/K8Sht\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/K8Sht\">news reports<\/a>,\u00a0the total weight of SARS-CoV-2 in 4 million infected humans is two grams, an extreme contrast between the scale of the virus\u2019s impact and its microscopic size that can be difficult to comprehend.\u00a0At the same time, research and practice\u00a0are\u00a0often engaged in an effort to enlarge the realms of what is <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/DrtVk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/DrtVk\">perceptible<\/a> and to\u00a0engage with the unseen, the unheard or the imperceptible.<\/p>\n<p>We take a cue from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.screeningthepast.com\/2011\/11\/the-artist-as-ecologist\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.screeningthepast.com\/2011\/11\/the-artist-as-ecologist\/\">Gene Youngblood\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0formulation of the\u00a0the artist as an ecologist engaged in the \u2018revelation of previously unrecognized relationships between existing phenomena, both physical and metaphysical\u2019. As the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.degrowth.info\/en\/2020\/03\/a-degrowth-perspective-on-the-coronavirus-crisis\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.degrowth.info\/en\/2020\/03\/a-degrowth-perspective-on-the-coronavirus-crisis\">limits<\/a>\u00a0of global capitalism\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arpejournal.com\/archived-issues\/volume-13-issue-2\/capital-as-value-in-motion-and-boundless-accumulation-a-review-of-david-harveys-marx-capital-and-the-madness-of-economic-reason\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.arpejournal.com\/archived-issues\/volume-13-issue-2\/capital-as-value-in-motion-and-boundless-accumulation-a-review-of-david-harveys-marx-capital-and-the-madness-of-economic-reason\">boundless<\/a> appetite for growth stand revealed, it is worth to also revisit the myth of the artist\u2019s infinite powers of invention and\u00a0the researcher\u2019s infinite powers of knowledge creation. How do the present circumstances demand a rethinking of research-practice? How to respond\u00a0as ecologists\u00a0to the issues of the current time in order to reflect on interconnected, transgressive and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/newmaterialism.eu\/almanac\/e\/ecology-minoritarian.html\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/newmaterialism.eu\/almanac\/e\/ecology-minoritarian.html\">minoritarian<\/a>\u00a0ecologies?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>We are calling for experimental, practice-based and theoretical research including, but not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>experimental, personal, creative and discursive written pieces of varying length, including poetry, typographic pieces, field notes or reflections on fieldwork;<\/li>\n<li>collaborations\u00a0across\u00a0disciplines,\u00a0between artists, writers, filmmakers, architects, scientists etc.;<\/li>\n<li>video, animation, photography, illustration, drawings\/sketches, sound, music, internet art, gifs, podcasts, computer games and other formats of creative media;<\/li>\n<li>pieces written in a standard data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.e-flux.com\/architecture\/new-silk-roads\/313108\/the-future-forecast\/\">infrastructure<\/a><\/ins>.<br \/>\nEcologies are abstract and metaphysical.<br \/>\n<ins
