She writes, shoots, edits and performs her works. Matas Moris\u2019s practice draws from her own and her family&#8217;s experience of exile from Chile. Her videos delve into the representation of the \u2018other\u2019 through the self, harnessing the act of self-representation as a political act. Matas Moris\u2019s work departs from personal experience and expands into global issues of exile, displacement and gender. [\/one_half][one_half_last]Humour, intimacy and the absurd come together in her narratives, told from the perspective of the &#8216;outsider&#8217; confronted to a ludicrous reality.
